1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the mobile application "ChessIQo" (hereinafter "App"), operated by Christian Strohmer (hereinafter "Operator").
2. Description of Services
ChessIQo is a chess learning app that offers structured training, tactical exercises, game analysis, and personalized training recommendations. The app is available in a free basic version. Additional premium features can be unlocked for a fee.
3. Registration and User Account
Registration is required to use the app. Users agree to provide truthful information and to keep their login credentials confidential. Each user may only create one account.
4. Usage Rights
The Operator grants the user a simple, non-transferable right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. The app and all its content are protected by copyright.
5. Availability
The Operator strives to ensure uninterrupted availability of the app. There is no entitlement to permanent availability. Maintenance work and technical disruptions may lead to temporary restrictions.
6. Liability
The Operator is only liable for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded, unless essential contractual obligations are violated. The training recommendations of the app do not replace professional chess instruction.
7. Termination
Users may delete their account at any time. The Operator reserves the right to suspend or delete user accounts in case of violation of these Terms.
8. Changes to Terms
The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
9. Applicable Law
Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, Austria.
